Why Should I Work from Home? Top 9 Reasons

Work from Home Benefits: We keep running in the rat race and forget to consider the best possible options to make a living. Most people keep looking for jobs, after getting fed up from their present jobs, they look for better jobs and the same process goes on.

Doing a job is perfectly fine, but you do miss out on a lot of things as well. A 9-5 job might not let you fulfill your travel dreams or maybe not let you spend quality time with your family.

Some business people happen to have the same story too.

I’ve no intentions of saying that doing a 9-5 job or a business where you stay completely engrossed the entire day is wrong. People do it.

But, what is the harm exploring other options which might be better in a lot of ways? Working from home can be the best thing that can ever happen to you.

It can enable you to lead a happier life in a lot of ways. A lot of people work from home part-time and some of them even do that along with their traditional jobs generating a higher income.

Why Work from Home is Great?
When I got to know about the internet business, the very first thing that came to mind was, why should I work from home? Working from home can get you the following:

More Time to Spend with Your Family
You definitely get to spend more time with your family members if you work from home. You can do whatever you want, stay involved in daily activities, go out for leisure more often, eat everything and anything that you want, enjoy with your siblings or relatives.

A very famous women entrepreneur recently said that “One can’t get enough”.

Later on, when she was asked to explain what she meant, she said that even after earning 8 Million Dollars per month, she hardly got time for herself and her loved ones which made her feel awful at times.

We don’t realize the importance of building relations because we get swayed away from the mesmerizing thoughts of the corporate world, big multinationals and the money that flows in. We tend to forget about other pleasures of like, a family being one of the biggest ones.

Low Running Costs
Working from home doesn’t really require any substantial startup or running costs. You can work from home through a website e.g. SureJob, which acts as a business center. A website can be started for free or can be purchased at a very low price. I started off a website with $11 for one complete year.

That’s too cheap. You can compare this with a traditional business where a lot of money is required to fulfill capital requirements, running costs, machinery, electricity, labor, taxes etc. An online business can be started for very cheap and the return on investment can be 1000 times!

A Higher Income
It’s very normal to find people generating $10,000s online. A close friend generated over $10,000 this month and guess what? He’s in his early twenties. Working from home is more like running your own business, where you get to make a lot of experiments, changes and increase the scope of your business domain.

You’re free to sell anything. You’re free to share your business everywhere. It’s just awesome. The best part of a home-based business is that it enables you to work part-time.

You can start a website and make content for it every single day investing just half an hour. If you do that math right, you’d be able to build an authority website in no time with at least 100 posts within 4-5 months.

Time Freedom
You undoubtedly get a lot of time to do other things. I’ve been working from home since a very long time and I’ve had the perks of working from home like reading whenever I want, going out for parties with my friends and family, attending various seminars and yes a few other things that I can’t mention publicly.

Unlike a 9-5 job, you face no restrictions or targets. You can set your own targets and work in accordance with them. Your results depend on the work that you do, rather than the time that you invest.

Be Your Own Boss
When you work from home, you’re on your own and you’re not answerable to anybody but you. There’s enough room to make experiments and try new things. You can be your own boss and do whatever you feel is right because, in the end, it’s going to be your own business. It feels good right?

You get to decide how the marketing is to be done, what products are to be sold, how many people do you need to recruit, from where do you need to hire freelancers from and a lot more.

You Get to Travel & Work from Anywhere
Because of the time freedom that you get, you’re free to go on vacations and the best part is, you can work from anywhere. All you’d need would be a laptop and an internet connection.

I remember visiting a hill station a few months back and posting something on my website.

It’s really awesome sitting in the open air on a hill station under the deep blue sky with a laptop on your laps and a coffee mug in your hand. Already dreaming? Give it a shot.

The Comfort of Your Own Home is Unbeatable
One definitely feels the most comfortable staying home and working. You get access to everything that you need, you are free to change your working location and do a lot of other things. Making yourself a meal gets a lot easier.

You don’t have to pay for water or snacks. You can even take some time out to take a power nap in between your working hours.

Changing your working locations can be very reviving too! I’ve been writing this post sitting on my dining table and I feel like shifting to my sofa. Wait for a second, I just did.

Eliminates Commuting Time
You definitely save a lot of time that you invest in traveling to different locations. Working at home requires no commuting and definitely saves a lot of time.

I used to spend 4 hours travelling for one of my past jobs. The time that you save can be used for doing other things that interest you.

You might get time to read your favorite novel or watch your favorite movie. You might just utilize that time to draft a new blog post or do some keyword research. After all, effective utilization of time should be our top post priority.

Save Money
You get to save a lot of money that you spend on traveling, eating outside and other expenditures.

If you sit and calculate the amount of money that you’ve spent in commuting, going out for a meal with your friends, paying the parking money and a lot more, you’ll get to know the extent of money that you can save.

In the end, money saved is money earned.
